Introducing one of our most ambitious projects:
The AquaEye Rapid Response Unit
Saving lives. Recovering the lost. Answering the call faster than ever before.

In the aftermath of the devastating 2025 Hill Country flooding in Texas, families were left searching—not just for answers, but for loved ones lost to swift waters. It was a painful reminder that when disaster strikes, every second counts. That's why the Life In The Arena Foundation is forming the AquaEye Rapid Response Unit (ARRU); a specialized team trained in the use of sonar technology for search, rescue, and recovery operations across the country.

But to do this work, we need your help.

What is the ARRU?
The AquaEye Rapid Response Unit is a specialized team composed of trained responders, investigators, and recovery professionals with expertise in:
-
Sonar-based victim location using AquaEye® handheld sonar scanners
-
Search and rescue (SAR) operations in both rural and urban waterways
-
Evidence recovery for law enforcement cases
-
Rapid deployment within hours to regional and national emergencies
Each deployment is led by seasoned operators, including trained medics and investigative professionals who operate under a standardized rapid-response protocol.

Why It Matters
Texas’ Hill Country floods weren’t an isolated tragedy—they were a warning.
As flooding, drowning incidents, and water-related emergencies increase across the nation, most communities are unprepared and under-equipped. Traditional recovery efforts can take days. With AquaEye, recovery can take minutes.

We’re Ready to Deploy. But We Need Your Support
.
The ARRU team needs:
-
Additional AquaEye sonar units ($5,000 each)
-
Rapid deployment equipment, including waterproof storage, inflatable boats, and PPE
-
Travel and lodging funds to allow the team to respond to rural and underserved communities
-
Training costs to expand the number of certified AquaEye Response Technicians (ARTs)
This isn’t about gadgets. It’s about families. It's about making sure someone shows up when local agencies can’t. With your help, we can expand our capabilities and ensure that no call for help goes unanswered.
